How to have an electronic identity card (CIE)

Where you can ask

In the event of theft/loss, you can directly request an appointment for the identity card in your Town Hall of residence. To find out how, call 060606. Remember that you will need to have a theft and loss report.

How to book an appointment for the Electronic Identity Card

You can book an appointment for the electronic identity card directly on the site, choosing any town hall, not necessarily the one where you reside.

Enter the reason for the request (first document, renewal, etc.). Insert your data and click on continua (“continue”)

Choose any municipality

Choose the date of the appointment and the time

Choose whether to collect the new identity card in town hall or have it sent by post

To complete the appointment booking you will need to register, create a password and you will be asked to answer a secret question of your choice. Click on conferma (“confirm”)

The page relating to the processing of personal data will open, to proceed scroll to the bottom of the page and click on conferma (“confirm”)

Once the procedure has been completed, you will receive a confirmation email. Be careful! You may be asked to confirm the appointment a few days before, always through the same site.
